Eleven Plus
Exam Prep
Making the decision to try for independent or grammar school can be quite overwhelming. Let us ease the pressure with our carefully planned course, which covers everything your child will need to know in order to pass with flying colours. We have successfully supported hundreds of students in reaching some of the top schools in the country and have local and country-wide knowledge.
Students can take as many sessions per week as they can fit into their schedule and, at just £15 per 45-minute class, it is extremely good value for money.
Here are just some of the schools we have successfully prepped children for:
Tiffins, Wallington High School for Girls, Wilsons, Wallington Country Grammar, Whitgift, Trinity, City of London, Caterham, Woldingham, Reigate Grammar, RGS Guildford, Croydon High, Lingfield, Dubai College,St Johns, St Olaves, Sevenoaks, Cheltenham Ladies College, Epsom College, Cranleigh, Worth, Dunottar, Royal Russell, Dulwich College, Wimbledon High, Old Palace, Bexley Grammar, St Albans, St Dunstan’s College and Brighton College.
This year, we had 29 students sit 11+ exams and between them they received 60 offers and an incredible 15 Academic scholarships!
Course Leader
Alison Goulden
Preparing children for 11+ entrance exams is one of the best parts of my job.
I attended Wallington High School for Girls and then, having studied English Literature at Warwick University, I graduated in 1999 with first class honours and Qualified Teacher Status.
Throughout my career, I have held Assistant Head and Head of English positions in many state and independent schools (including Royal Russell, Dunottar and The Dubai British School) Throughout this time, I have made it my mission to build confidence and a love of learning in all my students and have been successfully tutoring children for the 11+ for the past ten years.
My style is to make learning fun and to encourage independence and critical thinking skills through engaging and interactive classes.

The Course
Year 4
We recommend that students begin their Eleven Plus journey in the January of Year 4. This gives them sufficient time to prepare without risking early burn out. The aim of these sessions is to familiarise children with the learning approach and ensure they have the right foundations ready for the more intense and focused work in Year 5.
Year 5
The course has been carefully divided into separate topics, ensuring that everything is covered in depth. Each lesson will follow the following format:
(1) Warm up – revision activity from previous lesson
(2) Teaching key skills of the day’s objective
(3) Practice questions linked to topic
(4) Homework to consolidate learning
Throughout the sessions, we will focus on building confidence and honing exam techniques, such as working under strict time pressure and problem solving. Parents receive progress updates after every lesson using our online quiz tool.
At the end of each block, students will sit a timed test, based on everything that has been covered. Parents are given full feedback on their child’s attainment and any areas of weakness will be clearly identified.

What Our Parents Say…
“I am so delighted to share a very good news with you. Cai got an offer from both City and St Albans. We are extremely happy for the offers. I truly thank you for your guidance and support. With so much learning in your lessons, Cai has come so far to get this wonderful result.”
“I wanted to thank you so much for all the help you’ve given Will so far – he got into Dunottar and Reigate Grammar and got academic scholarships to Caterham and Lingfield so we are so proud, and so grateful for all you’ve done.”
“Nicole got in! Just want to thank you for your help and overall awesomeness! She not only learnt so much from you but also enjoyed (and still does) all your lessons. You are an incredible and inspiring teacher.”
“I just wanted to let you know that Alberto got a place at St Dunstans and has been offered a scholarship. He really benefited from his tuition with you and we’ll definitely be in touch again when it is time for our daughter.”
Just a quick one. Bella is away with school so she can’t tell you herself. She did really well in second stage, came high amongst those that got through, and can list schools. As you can imagine, we are delighted for her. Thank you so much, it’s all down to you xxx
Just to let you know Emma passed 🙂
Hopefully you get good news from many of your pupils to reflect the wonderful work you do!
I wanted to let you know about Drake’s results and say thank you for all your support!
He got the top 180 for the Bexley test and received a 395 out of 423 for the Kent. We’re very proud of him! We’ve selected Bexley Grammar as his top choice so he should get a place there. It’s also now our local school, we’re just down the road after our move. Thanks again for all the classes, your support helped tremendously.
Tom passed the 11+! He was so happy and we were so pleased for him. He’s going to go to Bexley Grammar with his sister so that’s really wonderful. He got his best mark in maths, and then verbal and then non- verbal, which was a surprise, but everyone said the non verbal was very hard on this particular test. We think of you often and are so grateful to you for all the support you gave the boys over the last year. It made a huge difference!
