Our Academic Assessments

  • After an incredibly disjointed almost two years of schooling, many of us are concerned about the impact this has had on our children.  Whilst many children are being provided with some additional support from school, unfortunately, this is not the case for everyone.
  • At GBA, we would like to support our students and help them make up any lost learning, and a great first step is a 30-minute academic assessment in either maths, English or science.
  • For just £20, one of our fully-qualified and highly experienced teachers will work with your child to identify exactly where they stand in relation to the National Curriculum age related expectations.  This is also extremely useful for our overseas students, giving them an opportunity to see their position in terms of our UK assessments,
  • We will provide detailed feedback on their level, target areas and give recommendations for their future learning journey.
  • Please use the contact button, or email us at for more details or to book a slot.

Ali’s Homework Help

  • As parents we are used to successfully providing for our children- giving good advice, supporting them through difficulties, cooking their favourite dinner… So what happens when it comes to helping our child with their homework?
  • “That’s not how my teacher does it” is a most familiar phrase in many households and often leads to tears of frustration (parental not child!)
  • After many conversations with our students’ parents, I decided to make some homework help videos, covering the key objectives and areas that are taught differently now.
  • So, if the terms ‘fronted adverbials’, ‘subordinate clauses’, ‘part whole models’ and ‘inference’ fill you with horror, look no further!  Other videos can be found at
  • Please pop an email to if you have an area of the curriculum you would like me to cover next and don’t forget to follow us on Facebook to be the first to access new videos when they arrive.
